I have changed my double page spread to this, as the set up i chose orginally didn't look like an actal magazine

Contents page final flatplan

I have made a flatplan for my contents page, i changed it as my orignal plan didn't have the set out for a contents page. I have decided on two images where the boxes with the crosses are. The text boxes below or in the image boxes will be a caption explaining the image. The rest are text boxes. The rectangle at the top will be the title 'contents'. the thin rectagle to the left will show the contents of the magazine with what page number it will be on. the box below that will a short message from the editor.

I have done research on typical artists that match my genre that could fit in my magazine.

 i created my deconstructions on powerpoint, then saved them to jpeg.

From doing this research I more confident on how my double page spread will look i will include
-A pull quote in the middle of the text to break up the writting and so it looks more visually appealing
-A strapline to draw in my audience to read my arcticle
-3/4 columns of writting so its not too much
-I will stick to a minmal colour palete, 3 colours asit looks more professonal
-One dominant image
-A drop cap to break up the paragraphs, and for visual appeal

INDESIGN PRACTISE

I used indesign to create this poster to advertise a raffle for children in need. I did this to experiment on adding images and text and changing fonts and color etc.

preliminary task

For my actual magazine I need to make improvements such as text needs to stand out so possibly make the text a more contrasting colour and bold. My biggest change will be that my magazine won't be made on publisher, i will use photoshop for a more professonal look. My coverines are too long this would lose the audiences attention so it needs to be shorter and more snappy. My writting is all written in the same font, i should try to use a variety to improve it. My photos need to be less stretched and at a better quality at they are blurry. I need more content on my contents page, as there isn't enough information.
